program through Taylor University (Indiana). The 4-day classes are taught at your
location (branch office or hotel). The classes meet the CFP Board education requirement.
My student pass rate for the March 2008 test cycle was 78% using the old material.

Why did I write new material? Read on:
Issue: CFP Board examination questions are written primarily by
practitioners.
Problem: Most CFP Board examination study material is prepared
by academics and, as a result, is difficult to apply.
Another Problem: The material that is not prepared by academics
is often hard to understand and apply because of inaccuracies or lack of clarity,
or it is simplistic and leads to incorrect answers.
Solution: Material written by a seasoned CFP® practitioner with
an extensive background in the areas that are tested; a background that includes
being a Registered Principal and Vice President of Financial Planning at Florida's
third largest independent financial planning firm and recently completing a Master
of Science degree in Financial Analysis; and experience teaching the Live Review
and all six of the individual CFP Board-required courses on a full-time basis since
2003.
Before applying for the CFP® Certification Examination, you need to complete the
education requirements set by CFP Board. You can fulfill the education requirement
through one of three ways: one way is to successfully complete a CFP Board-registered
