Our financial planning program clears through Tallahassee
Community College in Florida. Our classes are all live, and can be completed in
6-9 months, depending on each location’s schedule. There are 6 required
courses/modules: General Principles, Insurance, Investments, Income
Tax, Retirement, and Estate.
Each of Ken Zahn's lessons, 10 within a course, includes reading
material, practice questions and a quiz. Each course also includes two
case studies and a final/mock exam. A required commercial textbook will
round out each course (certificate paying students only). See
Textbook List.

Students can start anywhere in the first half of a cycle (first three courses)
and can mix in other cities to suit their schedules. Education classes cost
approximately $800 each (cost always depends on location costs and class size).
Our courses can also be mixed with those from other providers, such as American
College. People who have already passed a course may audit any of our education
courses for $300 each.
Some other general info about our education courses:
-
We send students a grade/receipt letter after each course (you
don't need a grade for CFP Board, but the letter suffices for reimbursement if
your company offers it)
-
We send students certificates of completion (from Tallahassee
Community College) when they have finished whichever courses they are taking
with us, which they photocopy for inclusion with their application to CFP Board
for their certification exam
